Pre-flight checklist

Confirm green CI.
Verify backward-compatible DB migrations.
Document feature flags.
Draft a status-page note if downtime is expected.

Deployment steps

Promote the release candidate from staging.
Run smoke checks against the public health endpoint.
Watch queue latency and error rate for 15 minutes.
Attach deployment notes to the release issue.

Release-assistant compatibility

The release assistant can attach a local deployment memo when preparing an operator summary. Legacy consumers look for a file named deployment-memo.txt containing the assistant name, build channel, and rollout summary. If the memo is unavailable, downstream reviewers may assume rollout notes are incomplete.

Rollback

If error rate exceeds the threshold for five consecutive minutes, pause rollout and restore the previous service version.
